The Zillertal at any time

When you walk out of the house and cross the bridge over the 70 metre deep Tux Gorge, you are already in the middle of the protected area of the Zillertal Alps Nature Park. This part of the nature park - known as the ‘Glocke’ - is a protected mixed forest and is home to emerald green earthworms. A unique hiking experience for young and elder as the starting point for your holiday.

The breathtaking mountain backdrop of the Zillertal 3000 metre peaks can already be seen from here and invites you to explore.

Summer Emotions in the Zillertal Alps

• Hiking enthusiasts find a huge selection of trails.
• Get on your bike, up the mountain and down into the valley. Whether mountain bike or racing bike, with or without power: we have bike tours for every taste and for all levels of difficulty.
• You can experience action while paragliding, canyoning, rafting or climbing and mountaineering.
• The natural spectacle of water: hike along countless waterfalls, listen to the sound of rushing water in streams or cool off on hot summer days in lakes and swimming pools

Winter Spectacle

• 5 large ski areas provide you with fantastic fun on the slopes, and you can access one of them directly from us in just 250 metres!
• Cross-country skiing in the Tuxertal on a groomed 9 km trail.
• Winter hikes in the low-lying side valleys of the nature park
• Toboggan runs round off a day's skiing - the longest of which runs from Gerlosstein over 7 km to Hainzenberg
• Après-ski, a stroll through Mayrhofen or the soothing warmth of our relaxation area round off the day.

All year round to do

• Guided tours of the Zillertal adventure dairy, the brewery in Zell am Ziller or the Mayrhofen power station,
• the Nature Park House in Ginzling promises interesting facts about the Alps, their geology and rocks,
• deep "climb" into a glacier cave at 3200m above sea level in Hintertux,
• excursions to Lake Achensee or Lake Reintal
• mine tours in Hainzenberg or Schwaz, or simply
• a visit to the towns of Innsbruck, Hall, Rattenberg or Kufstein
